NGCP completes restoration of #UrdujaPH-affected lines

Power transmission operations in Visayas areback to normal operations as NGCP successfully completed the restoration oflines affected by Tropical Storm Urduja.

Normalization of the Visayas grid came after the last affected line, theParanas-Taft-Borongan-Quinapondan 69kV line, was restored at 7:46AM of December18. The said line tripped last December 16 at 9:25AM, affecting customers ofthe Eastern Samar Electric Cooperative (ESAMELCO). Transmission services inother affected areas are now under normal operations.

The complete energization of all lines affected by #UrdujaPH concludes NGCP'smonitoring for this weather disturbance. NGCP's Overall Disaster Command Center(OCMC) resumes normal operations as the weather disturbance poses no furtherthreat to any NGCP facility.

NGCP assures the public that it is continuously monitoring weather disturbancesand is ready to activate its OCMC should there be any threat to itstransmission facilities.
